Dr Anita Campbell was born in New Zealand and moved to Western Australia at age seven. She dreamed of being a doctor. She took the long road though, and, at the age of thirty-three, completed her medical studies in Western Australia.

She has worked in urban, rural, and remote locations, achieving her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners six years after graduating from medical school.
